Cooee Conversions is a Sydney-based vehicle fit-out company. This company builds custom homes that don't stay at one spot.
Their experience is above standards and their possibilities are limitless. It all comes with a catchy name and a story behind the brand.
The story behind the name goes back in history and people used to use it to attract attention. In an Aboriginal language, it means "come here" and the word Cooee has now become widely used in Australia as a call over distances.
Their vehicle fit-outs are mainly used for traveling and we showed the travel-vibe in their identity. We started our creative process with broad research and went back to the 70s and 80s when the van lifestyle began.
Colours, stories, symbols and shapes - we found many resources helpful when designing the identity.
Warm colours, simple shapes and effective typography that describes the style and simplicity of the company. All that and three custom patterns that represent three vehicle types they usually build.
We created wavy lines for the boat symbol, strait lines for all road-based vehicles and crooked lines for four-wheel-drive vehicles fit-outs.
Part of the identity is also a sticker that goes on every vehicle they work on as a signature. For this application, we used an inner shadow in the logo to achieve an embossed effect.
We liked the inner shadow idea, and we kept it for a building sign, where we used two layers of an acrylic board. The first layer is a logo cut out. It stays 5 centimeters away from the second layer. This distance creates the same inner shadow effect during the day when the sun shines on the sign.
Every business needs a website, and we designed a fully interactive website where Cooee Conversion can show their projects, explain the process of vehicle fit-outing, and share stories from traveling.
We are also currently working on their new photo and video promotion. If you'd like to know more about vehicle fit-outs, stay tuned and subscribe to our email list to not miss these stories.
